I had one day before a flight to solve a problem: my Chrome roll-top backpack made TSA laptop checks a nightmare when fully packed. I needed quick access—and a place for my mechanical keyboard to live alongside my laptop.
The solution: a water-resistant sleeve that clips onto the backpack's existing webbing. Color-matched to the Chrome bag using what I had on hand. Waterproof EcoPak fabric and YKK AquaGuard zipper keep everything dry. EVA foam padding protects against drops. Inside: a dedicated keyboard sleeve and USB cable pocket.
Secured with tactical carabiners and Grimloc clips. Clips on and off in seconds. Built start-to-finish in under 24 hours and caught my flight with time to spare.
