Gundown Gundams

Gundown Gundams is a concept I had for a YouTube channel. Each episode consists of me building a Gundam model and then destroying it with an Airsoft gun. Along the way, I would give helpful tips for making your model look its best before inevitably shooting it down.

Fake Zoom Attendance!

I figured out a way to add a looping Zoom video instead of using a real webcam feed. This is based on a tutorial by Raffael Meyer and an awesome Linux kernel module called v4l2loopback. Music is Young Fire by David Renda.

Project Highlight

Yubikey Explosion!

Yubikey Explosion! is an animation I made based on Yubico's Yubikey. I modeled the Yubikey in Blender 3.1 in March of 2022. The explosion was an accident; I'd planned to make a pile of Yubikeys as a backdrop, but the physics settings had other plans because of intersecting geometry!

Homer 3D

Homer 3D (2020) is my first and only animated walk cycle. I modeled every single part of the scene (minus the teapot) including Homer using Blender 2.91. I also rigged and animated his walk. You can download the whole animated scene on GitHub. The song is called "Marble Columns" by Death's Dynamic Shroud

GNU Plus Life

GNU Plus Life (2020) is a scene I animated by following a tutorial course from Ukramedia called How to Create a Sports Bumper in Blender 2.8. While I did make this scene myself, it is entirely based on Ukramedia's design and instructions, so it's not fully my own original work.

AKAI MPK Mini

AKAI MPK Mini (2020) is my most accurate model of a real, physical object to date. It's based on a MIDI keyboard that I own, and I recorded the song myself in GarageBand. The jingle is based on Richard Stallman's (somewhat cringeworthy) "Free Software Song".

The Creeper

The Creeper is my 3D adaptation of Daniel Clowes' unnamed character from the cover of Eightball #8. I sculpted this in Blender 2.79 in 2019. I had it 3d printed through ShapeWays and made about 10 finished, painted 6" statues. I sold them on Etsy to a few Daniel Clowes mega-fans, and I met some really cool people in the process.
